For this 3 bedder apartment, the home owners desired a home that would combine the elegance of Orientalism with modern functionality. Their brief focused on creating an atmosphere that evokes the opulence and grandeur of traditional Chinese art while ensuring comfort and practicality for everyday living. They requested intricate detailing and luxurious finishes, blending classic oriental aesthetics with contemporary design elements. As the space was compact, the challenge was to integrate these elements in a way that felt spacious, elegant, and functional. The neutral color palette, chosen to balance the deep, natural tones of the furniture, created a serene backdrop for the striking oriental details.

The Modern Ornate Orientalism theme was inspired by the timeless beauty of traditional Chinese design, reinterpreted with a modern twist. The focus was on a warm and inviting atmosphere, with key pieces such as the living room TV console acting as a central feature that truly brought the oriental vibe to life. Despite the small size of the unit, the design maximized space planning by considering the future needs of the family, with strategic storage solutions like the foyer area. The owners did not request much additional storage, but to future-proof the space, storage was added where necessary.
 

The overall result is a harmonious blend of exotic charm and contemporary living, offering a luxurious, yet functional home environment.
